Accepted inputs: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, ICO, SVG, TIFF, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, and HEIF. ICO uses its largest high-depth image; TIFF uses the first page; HEIC/HEIF uses the first top-level still image. Metadata is not preserved.
Transparency becomes a background
JPG does not support an alpha channel. Transparent source areas are flattened during encoding.
Lossy output uses a quality setting of 90; lossless formats preserve the decoded pixels.
