WebP Cloud Services values the importance of processing and storing data in a secure, fair, and transparent way. Our data infrastructure is based in a secure location and we are committed to complying with the strong data privacy laws in effect.
This Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) is an addendum to the Terms of Service between WebP Cloud Services and the customer. If you are accepting this DPA on behalf of your customer, you warrant that: (a) you have full legal authority to bind your customer to this DPA; (b) you have read and understand this DPA; and (c) you agree, on behalf of your customer, to this DPA.
These service terms incorporate the WebP Cloud Services Data Processing Agreement” (“DPA”), when the General Data Protection regulation (“GDPR”) applies to your use of WebP Cloud Services to process data as defined in the DPA. We are committed to protecting and securing your data to the high standards set out in the agreement, and we will take all necessary steps to ensure that your data is processed in compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
Organizational and technical security measures
At WebP Cloud Services, we understand the importance of keeping your data secure and private. Therefore, we employ state-of-the-art security measures to ensure that all the data we track is kept fully secured, encrypted, and hosted on renewable energy-powered servers in Germany. By doing so, we ensure that all the website data is being covered by the European Union’s strict laws on data privacy. We guarantee that your data never leaves the EU and EU-owned cloud infrastructure. You can read about Hetzner, our hosting provider, and their server security certifications on their website.
To ensure the security of your data, we use HTTPS in transit and the hashing process at rest. Our hashing process is much stronger than encryption, which implies that there’s a key that can decrypt and reveal the raw data. In our database, the raw IP address and User Agent are rendered completely inaccessible to anyone, including ourselves. We use strict firewall rules and private encrypted networking to ensure that only authorized personnel can access the data. We keep offsite backups with replication including strong bcrypt passwords to ensure the integrity of your data.
How we handle delete instructions
At WebP Cloud Services, we believe in providing our customers with the freedom to choose how their data is handled. Therefore, you have the option to delete your account and site stats at any time. We provide simple, no-questions-asked deletion links for your convenience.
When you choose to delete your account or site stats, all your data will be permanently deleted from our servers immediately. We cannot recover this information once it has been permanently deleted. This means that all your user data, including statistics, will be permanently erased from our systems and cannot be restored.
